It might not be the best investment because you’re spending the money to get the exact same amount of money back and it’s going to take you a long time and you’re going to have to spend a bunch of money out of your pocket that you have to wait to get back. Is it better just to sell it with the repairs?
Number 3 – How Much Stress Will This Cause? The third thing that I would really consider, depending on the amount of repairs and whether you’re doing them yourself, or even if you’ve got some buddies helping you, or you’ve got to hire contractors, home repairs can be very stressful.
The house will be a mess. If you’ve got contractors coming in and out, it can be a hassle. It interrupts your life. Is that something that you want to take on? Is it projects that you think you’re going to enjoy doing? And what’s going to be the best thing for you at the end of the day.
So if you’re asking yourself, do I need to do all these repairs to my house before I’m going to be able to sell it. That’s not the case. But you might want to look at it and say, well, what’s going to be best for me based on my situation. How much it’s going to cost me, how much time I have, and how much hassle and headache am I willing to put up with in order to complete these repairs to sell my house?
