Where Does The Sale Of My Property Take Place? April 18, 2021 By Nicholas Hi, it’s Nick with Sell My San Antonio House. “Where does the closing for my property take place?” Well, most of the time, your closings are going to take place at the title company. The title company is the company that we use as a third party to facilitate the sale. We send all the paperwork, and they draw up all the documents for us. They make sure that we’ve given the money to them so that they can give the money to you. They will schedule an appointment for you to come in, or whoever needs to come in to sign, to sign, and close for your property. Now, what if you’re out of town? We’re here in Texas and, say, that you’re in California, you may not feel like driving all the way over. That’s not a problem. What do we do then? One of two things happens. Either if the title company has another branch that’s near your location, which happens in a lot of other cities near us in Texas, and most of the time, they’ll let us borrow one of their folks to help us sign all our documents and make sure that you’re getting taken care of.If not, we can also send what’s called a mobile notary, and they can come to you. You tell them where you would like the notary to go. They will bring the documents. They’ll verify that the correct people are signing them. And then they’ll send those documents back to our title company. The title company will then verify the documents and, again, verify our funding, and then they’ll make the switch so that you get your money. The other one is, “Well, what if I, or the person who needs to sign, has some special needs? We’re not out of town, but they either can’t make it into the title company or they just don’t feel comfortable making the trip over there.” That’s all right, too. We can still send the mobile notary to them at a time that works for them. We’ve got ones that’ll go early, that’ll go late, that’ll go on the weekend. Just let us know what’s going to work for you, and that’s how we can set up the closing. So, I hope that helps you understand where the closing for your property will take place. Most of the time, at the title company, but if you can’t make it, just let us know, and we’ll work it out for you.
